Spring 2017

The second semester as a graduate student included three courses and teaching a first-year composition class as a teaching assistant. This was a full schedule. I chose two courses and participated in the practicum required of first-time teaching assistants. These courses included Advanced Nonfiction and the Feedback and Assessment course that is part of the Online Writing Instruction Certificate.

 

Both courses proved to be challenging but the completed work shows development in my writing and teaching skills. The practicum, in addition to helping me design a digital teaching portfolio, helped me to develop classroom instruction skills.
