The second accelerated course in the Online Writing Instruction Certificate focuses on the use of multimedia and technology to create presence and deliver instruction. In the course I used technology such as Screencast-O-Matic to create an instructional video on how to use Google Docs and a “Welcome” video. I used the technology learned in this course later in other graduate coursework to create multimedia texts for coursework and teaching composition in a classroom setting. Work completed in this class demonstrates the ability to understand the theory of using multimedia, analyzing rhetorical situations, using rhetorical strategies, and using technology to deliver a variety of texts, including voice and video.
