The practicum course ties all of the previous certificate courses together. In the practicum, I used the previous coursework in the Introduction to Online Writing Instruction, Multimedia Online Writing Instruction, and Feedback and Assessment to design an online writing course. This includes choosing a platform for delivering the course, designing the layout of the course in that platform, using technology maps to determine where I might need more training, and writing a sample syllabus, writing assignments and grading rubric. This course developed my ability to understand the theory of online writing instruction and develop professionalism in the teaching.
