Grant Writing

This is the second time I completed Grant Writing. As an undergraduate I participated in the class online. The resulting proposal was funded for $5,000. As a graduate student, I also completed the course online and the resulting client package and sample proposal later became a live proposal submitted on behalf of the nonprofit organization where I was working at the time. That proposal was funded for $10,000.

 

It is my opinion the success of the proposal is due to the skills learned in this course. Writing strategies learned in this course directly impacted my professional writing. The skills developed in this course display the ability to analyze rhetorical situations and audiences and use appropriate strategies, use rhetorical strategies to develop arguments and use technology to invent, refine and deliver a variety of texts, attend to editorial detail and participate in writing professionally outside the classroom.
